We're Stronger Together

For the last several years I have been encouraging women and men of all ages to “Make A BOLD Move”. I have sat with people who were launching businesses, mourning a “failed” business, or trying to find their way after a personal loss. In every conversation, I have pointed to the Word of God and the reminders to be courageous no matter what. I pray you have embraced the challenge to pursue all that God has for you in this life with courage and the belief that God is for you!

I have encouraged individual BOLDNESS, but now I’m encouraging another BOLD Move for many of you. I’m challenging you to grow stronger by connecting with others.

I have watched many of you start businesses and struggle as you attempt to do everything yourself. You are excellent at some things, but struggle in other areas. What would happen if you connected with another small business owner who is strong where you are weak? I can hear the answers: “My ‘branding’ will be affected.” “Who will be in charge if I combine with another business owner?” “Will my business get ‘lost’ in this combination?” Here's another answer: if done right, the new business will be stronger than the previous two.

For others, the challenge isn't to connect in business, but in personal relationships. You may have suffered a betrayal or disappointment in a relationship or friendship and you have not been willing to risk that pain again. I want to remind you that you, YES YOU, are built to be connected to others. God said, "It's not good for the man to be alone." He wasn't just talking about Adam, but about humans. You are the friend someone needs, and there are friends that you need. I believe our need for authentic relationships is even greater as we get older. Might you get hurt? Yes. Is it worth the risk? I wholeheartedly believe so.

Consider this passage from Ecclesiastes 4: "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

There is power in your connections, don't take it for granted. If you would like to connect with a coach, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you. Let's become strong not just in our physical bodies, but in our hearts where it matters most.

You are loved,
